Garden Sculpture Commission

I was recently commissioned to make a tall sculpture for a small island in a mill pond situated in a lovely large garden close to Hebden Bridge. Talking over various options with the client, I sketched some simple forms which could be stacked together over a pole, and a design was chosen from these. The shapes were hand coiled and fired to 1240 degrees C to make them frost proof. The incised line which I had drawn vertically on the form was to be picked out with a coloured glaze. This was an exciting, challenging and extremely rewarding project and I am looking forward to pursuing new commissions in the future. If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please contact me to discuss you requirements.
