My ceramic figures are individually hand built using a grogged clay, which allows for strength in the building process, but also has the finer qualities needed for detail. I decorate with underglaze colours and oxides, which are often enhanced by repeated firings.
The new garden sculpture pieces have developed from a 2009 commission for a large garden sculpture. These consist of simple organic forms coiled and sometimes decorated with leaf motifs.
